Ka-52 Alligators to take the sky by storm

Russia has launched mass production of the Ka-52 strike helicopter nicknamed the Alligator. Based on the Ka-50 Black Shark, the new version is designed as a commanders vehicle and has several features for combat coordination.

@gromxxx The problem in chechnya was that we send out many greenhorns but you're right the comand sucked too and there was also a lack on air support. You can't send a whole army into urban warfare without air support, thats suicide and thats why I like the AC130 Gunship, it can operate even in urban warfare.

All of these "heroes" and "Fanboys" no matter where they're from suck big time!

@SovjetPhoenix every marine that i know like russian weapons because we been fighting soviet block weapons the people u speak of are youtube heros that never smelled burning powder yet talk shit to other weapons same us some of russian ''heroes'' in some aspects it has better things than ak but overall AK is better. Chechen war wasnt because of absence of AC130 or A10 cause comand sucked and peoled got killed because of politicly motivated decisions not combat dictated decisions

@gromxxx Complement us weapons? Well, there are TWO american "Weapons" that I even LIKE: AC-130 GUNSHIP and A-10! It's looks amazing when an A-10 strikes on a taliban hideout with it's gun but it also looks great if an AC-130 turn the taliban into dust with it's 105mm gun. And I'm sure if we would have something like the Gunship we would win the chechen war within weeks.

And not every american knows something about weapons. Few of them still think the M4 is better than an AK! LOL

@gromxxx Again I agree with you, however, you'd be VERY surprised what the Russians have for Long Range Targeting systems on there aircraft..... they have one that has a tracking distance of about 12 miles, which, or a Chopper ain't too bad, its also what they put on there CAS jets, and they have used it with very good use

Just look at the little war with Georgia, they used air to ground targeting systems perfectly

@mirlin235 it does doing more with less is admirable but they should invest not in quantity but try to make quality not saying that their weapons arent is just most of them do not have modern day avionics or weapons that will enable them to track and engage targets at long distance like AH64 or AH1Z does
