The Cuerdale Hoard is the largest Viking silver hoard ever found outside Russia, and exceeds any hoard found in Scandinavia or any other western areas settled by the Vikings.
A hoard of over 8,600 items includes silver coins and bullion. The hoard was discovered on the 15 May 1840, on the Southern bank of a bend of the River Ribble, in an area known as Cuerdale on the outskirts of the City of Preston, Lancashire, England.
I like the Lost Treasures series.
