First held in 1990, the Official Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition has grown over the last 20 years to establish itself as THE major pie competition in Australia. "Leading Edge Bakery & Food Service Journal" is one of the sponsors for the GAMPC each year, which alternates between Melbourne and Sydney as part of the Fine Food Australia Expos. Celebrating the milestone of its 20th annual competition in 2009, the competition's organiser John Ross is a regular feature writer in "Leading Edge" informing readers about the progress of each year's competition.
