  • both of these videos apply to pistols also?

  • for the most part.. yes

  • Very good post, also your heart pluse will change the sight angle, especialy a long shots & with a scope, thats why moden weapons come with so many features, like rifle butt impact extras that are made of special properties. Do you have any sniper training videos, re: Marines sniper training or other like S.a.s, Navy Seals special Ops Sniper school etc.

  • I'm working on it.. I currently have videos for the XM16E1, Marksmanship videos on the Garand, information videos on German WWII weapons, but I'll hunt around on sniper training videos

  • were they wareing jungle boots

  • Yes, it looks like were wearing the Jungle boots. this video was made in 1999, and during that time frame the jungle boots were still in the system and were issued to troops in the desert. I was issued Jungle boots during the first gulf war. we bought Saudi Army Boot to replace them, as the Jungle boots were worthless in that desert, yet cooler than issue leather boots.

  • @7071t6 the marine scout sniper program trians the navy seals sniper

  • @randallschecter military snipers are trained to shoot between heartbeats

  • @bigbenff1

yes, during the 25yd table 2 in the present day. Because its shot with the ACOG optic.

  • the basics apply to pistol shooting as well. site alignment sight picture, breath control trigger control is critical. body alignment. foot placement moving the proper foot the right direction to get proper body alignment so the pistol fall back on target after firing. Thats how I won the Base rifle and pistol match at camp pendleton in 1980, my last year in the corps. I actually placed 3rd with a rifle but my pistol score was nearly 50 points higher than second place, came out #1.

  • there was a sniper in ww2, so good he could listen to his heart and shoot inbetween heart beats.

  • Are marines taught to shoot with both eyes open?

  • this was the same as pt 1

  • A well aimed round is better than a wasted magazine !

  • @StreamingKnowledge

you'll notice your sights and hands starting to shake when you run out of that natural respiratory pause.

    one breath one trigger pull

you'll also start flinching when running out of breath

  • Holding your breath can harm your vision?
