Lotus Exige vs. Opel Speedster

Lotus Bergtrophy Hillclimbing in Austria, Summer 2006. 9km. Direct comparison between a Lotus Exige and a Opel Speedster. My Exige got 249PS, 225Nm Torque. The Speedster around 290PS, 400Nm Torque. That was a really thrilling experience.

Anyway, it's not entirely fair comparing two different classes even though it would seem they are in the same class.

The newer Exige GT3 would leave any Speedster for dead.

@SgtH3nry3 thats the difference between turbo and not turbo!!!!and audi 1,8t is notttt twin-turbo.....and would have a speedster a rocket inside,he can fly....you are a "if would have" type of man

if .. , you could also put a 2200 hp engine in it with double turbo , then you get something like red victor.

Speedster owns!! But not take the turbo one(it maybe make a better sound)but if someting gets wrong with it.. Than I would even bough one without!

Yes, it has a high-pressure turbocharger which gives the engine a much higher torque compared to the Lotus it's Roots-type low-pressure supercharger.

Toyota stuff sucks eh, they should use the Audi 1.8T engine.

It's only a tad heavier, but the power is insane, the torquecurve pretty good.

It's used in the Donkervoort Carrera GT-killers.
