Just because the media puts forth this nonsense and subsequently acts as though it's what people care about, it doesn't mean they're correct.
It's disappointing to me how often those who discuss such topics base their opinions of how people are responding to manipulative or dumbed-down "news" on signals they receive from the same communication channels they criticize.
There is a reason corporate media is losing viewers/readers.
