Simple Kinetic Wire Sculptures by Clayton Boyer. These are fun and very forgiving to create. Just bend some wire and stick it into some plywood, and then bend something else to hit it with. See more kinetic sculptures and wooden clocks at www.lisaboyer.com

  • wonder ! whimsical..

  • cool >_<

  • It would be interesting to combine the concept of these more whimsical things with the low speed escapements of your clocks. Perhaps a flying pendulum mechanism that would drive a lift the ball back to the top of the race. It could run for days.

  • Thank you for your kind comments. These things really are fun to make. It's truly hard to make a mistake! I hope you try making one and post the video of it here on YouTube.

The motor for "Spring" is simply a hand-held, battery operated fan from WalMart - fan removed and a rubber band around the arbor for the drive belt.

  • what kind of motor did you use for the first machine

how did you hook it up?
