mmm you are forgetting that archer uses Broken Phantasm (Noble Phantasm filled with prana) with gives it one rank up..soo

Tracing = -1 rank

Broken Phantasm = +1

Weapons fired in UBW = the same rank as the original

annnd... f$&#!! who cares about the rank.. if archer wouldn't be half dead he could easily beaten Berserker just by being GAR!

Yup, you're right. Just checked.

The swords do go down a rank, however a lot of speculation can be brought on that point. Caliburn notably killed Berserker 7 times in one slash. Also Excalibur (though I have no idea whether Archer can copy it or not, it might work like Ea/Enuma Elish) is A++, and Avalon, which Shirou copied is EX. Also Berserker's axe-sword has a particular ability that Shirou uses in Heaven's Feel, to kill Berserker himself. It is all just speculation however.

If you have the VN, go into Archer's information page and look at abilities, when you see UBW, it specifically says the created weapons within UBW drop by one to two grades, and since Archer's only known rank A is Rho Aius, and possibly the Bakuya/Kanshou blades, he doesn't have the ability to fight Berserker's God Hand (12 Labours) unless outside of UBW, and even then it was suicide (although he put up a helluva fight)

Uh no. Archer's UBW replicates the blades near exactly, and Berserker's abilities lie within the fact that he can only be hurt by attacks of A rank. It is said specifically in the vn, that Noble Phantasms of C rank are A rank normal attacks, and while A rank normal attacks may damage Berserker slightly Noble Phantasms of C rank will not. UBW copies the weapon's rank as well though the weapon itself does not have the original's power, it is still capable of similar damage.

Well, Archer can only spam in UBW, and when he is in UBW, all the weapons he creates are a rank lower than they would have been originally. Berserker's NP not only gives him 12 lives, but only attacks of the highest strength can even penetrate his skin, when Shirou tried to shoot him, it reflected off. When Saber started to run out of strength, her sword bounced off his arm with no damage, the swords Archer can spam in UBW would never hurt him, thats why the VN never said he used UBW.
