It's obvious how the game works if you just payed attention to what was going on ;P
You have to hit the little balls to make the music. If you get all of them in a group, you get more sound effects and a higher score. Although I think the amount of balls depends on what part of the song is being played. So if the tune only needs you to hit one ball at a time then only none grouped balls will appear (obviously it gets more complicated then that). It looks fun xD I'd definitely play it.

This game is the sequel to Bit Trip Beat, which is a simpler game to play. You should check out videos for it, then this one would make a LOT more sense.
Anyone i know who has played BitTrip.Beat loves it
