That's like saying motoGP bikes are shit compared to 4X4s because they can't go off road. American roads are long and straight, design a sports car for an American road, you get a car which doesn't need highly sophisticated suspension or aerodynamics. European roads are the opposite, and hence sports cars evolved wishbone suspension, Mcphearson struts etc. Just because they're different doesn't mean that one is better than the other,
