On our way home we took the relatively new road right next to the Marikina River leading to Eastwood. On our left was the river, on our right was Olandes (beautified squatters area of Marikina). Through this road we really got a close-up view of how bad the flood was and it's effect. Take note of the man walking with the bicycle and the trees and lamp post behind him. Notice the height of the garbage draped all over it. That is how high the river got when the worst of the flooding came into Marikina, Cainta and Pasig.
