I believe that the YouTube Symphony Orchestra holds auditions every two years. (Or maybe they just skipped this year.) Anyway, the auditions should be held for the 2013 season in October/November.

However, I do agree that there should be more information and that they had an official site with rules, age requirements, etc.

Saxophones aren't typically in orchestras. I don't know why we have them in high school and middle school bands then because they have no use in those pieces, they are made to hide in a class setting. In jazz or pep they can play out though. That's where saxophones are supposed to be.

2010 YouTube Symphony tryouts are open now and will be held in Sydney, Austrailia! hopefully my orch teacher makes it :D everyone else should try out too!
