Venerable Heenbunne Kondañña received his basic training and education at Gangarama Vihara, in Colombo since 1968. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Buddhist Philosophy in the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. After migrating to United States of America, Venerable Kondañña became a Bachelor of Sciences in Social Work from York College of City University of New York as well as a Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University in New York. Currently he is the Head monk of the Staten Island Buddhist Vihara in New York. His spiritual education services are focused on children.
