I have faith in the new take on Star Trek. Sure, there were some plot holes and changes, but what fans need to understand is that time travel is nothing new in the Star Trek Universe. Nero's ship came from the 24th century and altered the time line so severely that EVERYTHING we know about Star Trek was undone.

It's an alternate time line. Give it a chance! We might see some logical stuff in the sequels with proper decorum.

It's about perfect people from a perfect society saving X, Y, and Z at the 11th hour with some ridiculous technobabble bullshit. That's why I actually liked the movie. Less quantum singularities, more fighting fire with fire.

@MrFalconfly you are right about the window on the bridge. I change my mind, it does make it not as claustrophobic. If something did happen to your view screen it would be nice to look out a window..hehe

They are photon torpedoes.

I guess they downsized the caliper for some reason (just like they redesigned the Beam phasers into those awesome Point-Defense CIWS Phasers).

Personally I loved the new viewscreen. I like the fact that it's a window when not in use (the old bridge was slightly claustrophobic IMO, oh well I'm not a submariner). I also loved the new nacelles. They gave the Enterprise an air of power (like it could go like the clappers if needed).
