  • stop playin that fuckin thing!

  • Haha. Yeah, John was getting pretty sick of Hugh McCracken (I believe it was Hugh McCracken anyway) playing that song. Every time they had a break in the sessions he would always, yes, ALWAYS play that riff and John had eventually had enough.

  • The great Before Play session. Thanks for posting. Let me know if you ever come across that video!

  • Believe me, I have been looking! Ha!

  • It's just nice to listen to John talk and carry on... it's a few conversations I've never heard before, which makes them new to me, like he's still around sayin' new stuff (does that make sense?)

  • Let us prepare for the coming year in the spirit of John Lennon's big plans for 1981.

  • I would have loved to hear Lennon FIRE those two assholes on the spot for busting his stones like that. Enough is enough!! It was not 1965 anymore!!!

  • @TubularMonkey :

The dictionary says that mike stands for microphone.

    mike [by shortening & alter.] 1 : MICROPHONE 2 : MICROMETER CALIPER (Fr. p. 1,432 "Webster's Unabridged Dictionary," 1967)

  • yeah it is nice to hear him again just do not bring him from grave

  • There's a great video somewhere on YT where Slick says that he and "Hughie" as John called him, used to prod John into joining them into singing and playing on old beatle tracks like "I feel fine" and "she's a woman". He said that sometimes he would join in happily and they couldn't believe that they were playing beatle songs with John Lennon. Other times, he wouldn't join like you hear on here. Good stuff.

  • @TubularMonkey I see. After reading more comments here and on other videos I'm convinced the video footage was destroyed. You don't go 30 years without releasing even just a bit of it. Yoko Ono would've at least released some of it as a teaser.

  • @ShelterDogs These recordings are from a hidden mic. They document Jay Dubin's video shoot, where they recorded what were to be music videos for Losing You and Moving On. John disliked the quality of the video so much that he allegedly destroyed the video, though there are claims that it still exists in some form.
