@smoothknyte ..."Its like you had to hurt to sound like that" after he had left Crossland, he lost track of what had happened to Ron, but I remember him stopping for a bit, and saying "man i wish i could meet that kid again, he was amazing." So one of my classmates went looking around online and actually found Ron and had him come into class and surprise him, and he actually played with us on stage that spring concert....

@fmw63 Potomac High school out in dumfries. Class of 96. Mr Zolman was my teacher there, good friend of the family too. Funny story about this song. Mr Zolman was trying to teach the class about playing with feeling and that it wasn't real hard to do. He told us a story about teaching @ crossland. There was this sax player there named Ron who was great at playing, but got away with alot, got into trouble and such. But when he played, it came right form the soul....

Got to play with Ron Kronz @ my last spring concert in high school. Gary Zolman was conducting. That dood can positively wail. Had this same recording on the back of one of my memorex tapes floating around somewhere, was always the best rendition of the song. Thanks for posting!
