Outdoor experiences are as much about the camaraderie shared together in the pursuit of the fish we fish or the prey we hunt as it is about coming home with that trophy of a lifetime. The bonding and learning that occurs as we set out in pursuit of our dreams truly lasts a lifetime. And of course, a trophy now and then is of course appreciated.

Nature is the ultimate leveling force. It doesnt matter if you are a PHD, a janitor, a CEO, a teacher, or an outdoor guide for that matter. Success in life does not necessarily equate to success in the outdoors. And no matter how much experience you have in the outdoors we are constantly humbled and as we face the same struggles. In our quest to conquer nature, it is nature that almost always wins. It is through this plight that nature puts us all on a level playing field and creates a unifying experience.

Montana is my back yard. I am fortunate enough to have a place in Lakeside, Montana on Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. It is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide. Thats 188 square miles of pure enjoyment on the lake alone add the mountains, streams, and plains into the equation and you've got paradise. Hunting, fishing, outdoors, wildlife, and fun!

This is great--I'm a former Lakeside resident who is now in Omaha because of work--I miss the Big Sky so much it brings tears to my eyes. Have a cold one at the Rak for me!

Montana Brothers, Brought a tear to my eye. Especially when the kid caught the fatboy, and again when I watched it the 2nd time holding the European mount. And the music Kicks Butt Also. I just wish I was there.
