  • What this is great. What type of dolly are you using?

  • @vcao21 Thnx! Im using a home made dolly that I show eaxctly how to make in my other video DIY Dolly - Filmmaking Tutorial 13 . Check out my channel and then click on the tutorials playlist to watch it.

  • First off, thank you for posting these tutorials. They rock! Also, the footage in this one from the music video.........where can I watch it, is it online yet?

  • @dustyroadp yup... you can see it on my company website w w w tlapro com

  • BTW-you ROCK

    A couple of question.

For exterior shots that don't need as much contrast-- would you recommend reflectors?

I completely understand the need for lighting in the interior shots and I see where I'm going to need this. Since I can't afford HMIs will halogens do?

Also, this video is done with a DOF adapter-- without one, I imagine there might be a need for an ND filter -- I've got a 550 and I'd rather keep the aperture way open and throw in the ND. I keep it open for shallow DOF

  • @amanwithnohands ND is a must if ure shooting outside and want to keep the shutter speeds low and shallow DOF

  • hey tom where can i see the final video??

  • HMI 1200w Par or Fresnel?

  • personally I think I would like it better if you had used a slightly smaller diaphragm. Some spots on here face were too bright (imo). But yeah, it's subjective really :)

  • haha j.reyez 5:42

  • hi what is the best video editing software for making a music video thanks

  • Good tutorial. I already used HMI Fresnel before in locations shootings but never used HMI PAR. Once you can use them with different changeable lenses, could you please tell me which is the best lens configuration for this kind of situations where you need compensate the sun light and which lens is looking as HMI Fresnel in Flood mode. Ty

  • WHY NO OPAL/WD :D would make it look a lot more natural/soft etc...

but other than that, nice :)

  • Thank you SOOO much
