She's a beautiful young lady and was 3rd runner up at Miss America! Personally, I think she was heads above the rest and should have been Miss America!

I like both ladies. It appears Marianne thought she had it. Kristi thinks Marianne has it too. And it's a BIG surprise when Kristi wins it. I think the reaction is genuine. If you pause it, after the announcement, you can see where Marianne frowns. I feel for her. I believe she was 1st runner-up twice. That really REALLY stinks to come so close, think you have it, then lose. Marianne was a great contestant. Either one would have been a good Miss VA.

You all are horrible and clueless. You all don't realize that she was not expecting to win and that when she did, she just became a triple crown winner which only 6 women in the world have won. You all need to check your facts before you make assuptions

This is such a classic reaction. I wouldn't say I like it since it's way overdramatic, but then again her reactions usually are. I remember at Miss Teen USA 99 she reacted as though she won just because she made top 10. If I ever need a good laugh, I watch this little video. LOL

I went to school(college) with Marianne. Her Singing far outshone kristi, and Marianne also owned the Swimsuit competition. DOn't believe me? Anyone who does hundreds of situps a day looks good in a bathing suit! Marianne (IMHO) should have won. Maybe i'm ust baised from knowing her. I will say that we didn't even get along that well. Exchanged pleasantries but that's about it.

She is pretty and I am glad to know she is a nice person, but come on, could not have been more fake and practiced. I think she would have been shocked if she had lost. She had been Miss Virginia USA and Miss Virginia Teen USA, winning pageants is her greatest skill.
