  • sooooo..... the reason we need a stronger dad is so that it makes it more difficult for citizens who are being overtaxed to rebel.... and this is a good thing?

  • @kreendurron No, a stronger dad so make us more of a family. To be able to formulate a foreign policy, have a national economic policy that will lead to economic nationalism and be able to as a nation with a federal government which is supreme in the relationship with the states eventually become a world power. There is no need to rebel when you elect your representatives. You rebel at the ballot box. And as we have progressed we try to make that power of direct democracy stronger.

  • OK, but now the problem is that Dad is using the belt a little too often and too much. Dad is telling the kids "You must buy health insurance or I'll use this belt on you. Now do it or else!" And some of the kids (attorneys general) are taking Dad to court. And Dad is interfering with Arizona's ability to handle the illegal alien problem, so Kid Arizona has taken Dad to court. So now, we have an equally difficult problem.

  • @xander7ful

lo. good one. Perhaps Arizona the child is violating the Family Constitution (I remember when little Alabama did that in the 50's) Ans some of our brothers and sisters are running around without insurance and then sticking us with the bill when they end up in the ER.

I like your reply though. The analogy can work from a liberal or conservative perspective I guess. Good thing we are all family.

    peace.

  • @hughesDV Thank u u really helped me on my essay i liked this video and subscribed it.

  • @hughesDV I think a simple observation of the status of the country proves that the 'rebellion of the ballot box' as you put it is ineffective at best. If it took one violent uprising to do away with the monarchy, it would probably take one or two more to do away with the aristocracy (though they may now have fancy titles we have a wealth based aristocracy running this country).

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

    Thomas Jefferson

  • @TheCaptinLove Good points but we could play the what if game forever. peace out

  • @hughesDV (continuation) Slavery was an unsustainable institution that would have eventually died on it's own, and likely would have sooner that it did had it not been protected by the federal government (which it was prior to the 13th amendment). The Civil Rights amendment would not have been necessary had there not been government instituted racism in the first place.

  • @hughesDV Without the expansion westward there would not have been the mass genocide of various Native American people, and under the articles it is feasible that the various Indian nations could eventually have joined the United States. Under the Articles the US wouldn't have been able to conduct foreign wars meaning we wouldn't gotten involved in WWI meaning Germany would likely never gotten into a situation where someone like Hitler could come to power.

  • so your states seperate little governments were getting the power all confused so we gave most of the power to the federal gov? so, why didn't we just come together as one big country instead of small mini nations. .

  • That was EXTREMELY helpful, thanks!

  • i cant shake the feeling that thares somthing wrong whith his face

  • @hughesDV, thanks for your help. I take the regents tomorrow!
