Tasmanian Overland Track, Tasmania

A six day bushwalk along the famous Overland Track. Starting at Cradle Mountain in the north, the track winds its way through the mountains and valleys of central Tasmania.Autumn and winter bring snow and the brilliant golden colours of the deciduous fagus. The track finishes at Lake St Clair a glacier deepened lake in the southern part of the Central Plateau.

From memory my pack was about 22kg not counting the tripod and cameras. I prefer to do my bushwalking in winter or autumn, fewer people and the atmosphere and colours are better. Always take a tent incase of an emergency or full huts though I have never had to use mine on this trip.
