Got the chance to interview Ian on stage in 2003,Tarrytown NY Rubbing Elbows tour,also got one of his 13 Kazoos ...Center front row seat,Thank you Leah and wkze 98.1 FM .. STELLAR !!!!

De@r SilverWolfMoon My fault, I've always considered myself a Tull-nerd. I have even meet Ian backstage for at short chat and an autograph. But since I got the Christmas album and Rupi's Dance on the same day, I guess I never really noticed the bonus track. Thanks, for adjusting my memory.

Because I have "Rupi's Dance", and it is the final track. The details about why Ian wrote it are in the sleeve notes {he gave info on all the songs on the album}.

I love Ian Anderson's vocals in this song. When I first saw Tull in concert (the day of that huge East Coast blackout), he mentioned they were making a Christmas album and I was excited about it. I'm glad it really turned out good.

It's originally from Ian's solo album "Rupi's Dance" {released just months earlier}, and was inspired by his daughter Gael, whose birthday is very close to Christmas.
