Luigi's Mansion speedrun - segment 8

This is one segment of a Luigi's Mansion speedrun done in 13 segments with save-warping, using the PAL version on a Wii. I started it a long time ago but never got round to completing; I uploaded it now as I realised I'll probably never finish.

This is my third attempt at this speedrun; the first came out at around 1:41 (that was a test run), the second at about 1:31:30, and I aim to reach 1:30 or lower with this, after having split two of the longer segments and improved the route a little (oh, and of course, there are fewer mistakes). I'm quite confident that this is the best possible route to take. I focus mainly on mistakes in the segment comments, so I hope I don't sound too pessimistic...

Segment 8
We get to Boolossus. I find this definitely the trickiest part of the entire game, because the Boos simply don't co-operate beyond the first round of the boss. In this run, the first 3 minutes are very good - this is the only occasion where I managed to capture the Boo in one go - but the boss fight is merely acceptable. To catch Boos in its later stages, I hold R and face away from them, to be able to switch to ice quickly when they attack.

I take a while to find the element ghost, then capture 7 Boos in the first round, 2 in the second, 2 in the third and the final 4 in the fourth round. I could improve the battle by perhaps 30 seconds if I worked months on it.

Oh, okay. Well, I REALLY want to see a video of the PAL Hidden Mansion Boolossus fight, so maybe you could do that sometime...

That's only the PAL version's Hidden Mansion; this is the normal mansion. And doing that is pretty fun, and makes this segment much easier...

WTF? I thought that the PAL version had Luigi riding on his vaccuum to beat Boolossus! Are you sure this is the PAL version? Ah, well. Nonetheless, I continue my search!
