CB RADIO PRANK 1970's

Here is just a short clip of some vintage CB harassment from 1978. When my friends and I were teenagers, we spent some of our spare time blowing off steam by making silly prank phone calls and taping them. When we got bored with that, we started in with my friend's CB RADIO - the original radio that was used is shown here. My friend had installed a HUGE antenna and it would drown out and override many other CB broadcasts which was ideal for our purposes. Although childishly we had lots of fun at other people's expense, here is a lady who got really mad at us for our pranks and being such "on-air" flakes. My sincere apology to her, whoever she was, for our immaturity. Thanks for listening to this ridiculous post!

I have that same base station sitting in my basement. It is a TRC 30 A 23 channel. I bought it used over 30 years ago.

@fortiesnutcase I have many radios old school. I stil use one of my TRC-458 Radios daily for DX. I bought it new in Feb. 1978. I have some even older that I still use as well. They are great old radios

CB radio was the greatest passtime, and after you bought the radio and antenna, it was absolutely free! Also, you never knew who you were going to hook up with.

I was "Casey,Idyllwild CA" we had 4000 feet overlooking Hemet, Ca and we could talk all the way to Catalina Island! We had no landline telephone being out in the boonies, so it kept us from getting lonely at night. Thank you for the memories.

I had more fun on CB than any other portion of radio broadcasting I ever did. I miss it very much and wish the old gang we had were back on the air :(
