Vietnamese brides for export

United Nations, May 2008 - Vietnams economic boom has yet to reach its lower classes. To escape poverty, hundreds of women hire unscrupulous marriage brokers in the hopes of marrying wealthier men in Taiwan and South Korea. This thriving business not only put poor families in debt, but also puts the lives of many young women in danger.

Why not let Vietnamese women marry American men? The young men who are in their 20's or early 30's. They are looking for someone to satisfy their craving on building relationships.

There are so many Vietnamese abroad and other non Vietnamese that would love to meet a Vietnamese girl, but communication and language issues are not easy to over come. Plus the notion of true love and marriage is tainted by poverty and money. How does the foreigner even know the Vietnamese girl actually loves him- or will she just use him for a green card? Why marry a girl from Vietnam when there are many Vietnamese women living abroad? See my point?

@megatroll Get a Vietnamese wife then!!! They're hot, good looking and family oriented. ( you would have to get over the cultural differences though) But if you really want love .. then accept that challenge. Plus mix kids ( Asian+Caucasian) are BEAUTIFUL.

Here in America there are two kinds of women. A) The kinds that live in the bars and clubs, who have lost count of the number of men they've slept with. and B) Married or not currently looking for a relationship.

@stoneofrefuge Yeah. But some of these girls are uneducated (many teachers there need to be bribe to teach you properly). When they get "export" some get spouses that take advantage of their lack of knowledge. These girls don't always get sent to America. Sometimes their parents say girls are 18 when they are 15.

I'm almost 30 and I lead an academic carreer, but I fear I will be a lonely old man in the future. The western girls I've been with either cheated on me or treated me like dirt. They get drunk and behave like animals. One of them even beat me and almost broke my arm. :(

I just wished I would find someone to share my life with, have a family and grow old together. I would treat my wife like a diamond every day. All I want is someone with a good heart. But it's impossible to find here. :'(
