vortex is amazing. no doubt. but hes not just amazing in dimmu borgir. if you listen to other bands such as borknagar, you'll realize that vortex is even more awesome!

Dimmu Borgir were great before Vortex joined,the problem was that the guy became an integral part of the sound of the band and to be honest Silenoz and Shagrath are not THAT talented to carry the band by themselves.

@Brutalmusicktv I first knew of Dimmu with the For All Tid and Stormblaast alben. I don't like the rest of their alben, but I recognize that Astenu and Vortex are by far the best elements, responsible for the listenable passage of the shit Dimmu turned up to become.

Vortex made that band. I'm not talking about forming. But he is the reason they got where they are today. He sings better live, he's 6ft 7in (2 meters) in height and has a voice of an angel. ICS Vortex is a god.

Can't believe people are still complaining about how much Dimmu sucks without Vortex and Mustis. Uh, morons, listen to For All Tid, Stormblast, and Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. All three are phenomenal, and neither of them were on any of those three. Yeah, I love Vortex and Mustis as much as the masses, but get over yourselves. Give Shagrath and Silenoz the credit they deserve...Dimmu was never focused solely around Vortex and Mustis. Stop acting like that's all it was.
