Actually this video was made quite a while ago and before Twitter changed to their new layout. Most of the information is still usable though. I recommend planning for a background image of 1920x1200 so it covers the entire area on large monitors but design the information that needs to be visible to fit the area available on the left side when viewed at a resolution of 1280 pixels wide.
