@rhode75 are you currently a C.O?

@rhode75 I do! I've been through Army Infantry OSUT (basic training) so I'm sure I can do this. I'm not worried about the emotional/physical aspect or anything like that. I'm curious about the actual job. I really want to be a cop, can a CO be like a stepping stone to an LEO position. If not, how is the REAL pay? Like I said I'd rather be a cop but I'm not ruling out a CO. also when you go for the background check, do they interview you or just look at your records and wait a month for a respons

These trainee clowns aren't cut out to be CO's.. Look at them man,they would never survive in a correctional institution. No wonder why they need a training academy first. 3/4 of these buffoons are weak as hell, all emotional and couldn't cut it

As far as you comment on the Academy that is your opinion. The department is changing my man it a new DOC they now have requirements that rival the State Police in fact that is where they got it from.
Lastly, job security for the DOC is awesome in this recession many patrol officers sadly have been laid off. I hate to say that because I don't like to hear anybody losing there job. Way too many people unemployed. Some sad shit.
