aye fuck sr20tony that niggas a bitch ill sleep him anyday

Trash the welded and get a lsd. My friends welded diff snapped and caused him to crash into a car. The wlds broke over time so while 60$-80$ sounds good id wrather go for a full lsd
-
@SR20tony not recomended, the wheels need to turn at different speeds to go around corners properly. outside wheel needs to spin faster then the wheel on the inside of the turn. You'll get alot of drive line wind up with a solid axle.
-
@ayrtoncobb depends on how u push the gas pedal :O just be funny around corners id imagine
-
how is the welded diff on stop-go traffic? too aggressive?
-
I will say that is a cool car. But welding a differential for a car that you plan to use on the public road is just dangerous and stupid. If you haven't driven this in the wet road you will find that it will not turn on wet roads because the inside wheel is not turning slower to let the front wheels do the steering; you will just under steer into another car if you try turning on a wet 4 way intersection. In the end you are not saving anything; that would be a stupid way to lose a nice car.

@SR20tony amen

its coz the inside wheel has a shorter distance to travel, but has no choice but to keep up with the outside wheel bcoz they are permanantly locked.you can stop this by getting sideways XD.
-
locky all tha way! fuk lsd
-
take the springs out
-
@ultrarandom No, you'll understeer unless you're hitting the throttle enough, then you'll oversteer. That's why drifters sometimes weld their diff. So that they can just back off the throttle if they want to straighten out.
-
@sctflasher379 You'll oversteer through pretty much any corner unless your going 10km/h
-
@nightfire2255678 hahaaha
-
@SR20tony they don't wear out its just down to poor maintenance.
-
@xAgent0 Depending on how you welded it you could pull the spider gears out and put new ones in. When we do a mud truck we weld the gears to the case there held in. That would not be replacable without replacing everything. Your better off getting a spool or detroit air locker if your going to run it on the street. Spools are easy to take out and air lockers only lock when you push the button!!

is there a way i can get my welded diff and change it back to open diff?
-
@reinols114 if a welded diff and an lsd were the same why wouldnt everybody just weld their diffs instead of buying an lsd? lsd is not locked up at all times
how bad does this effect daily driving?
hectorisdaman154 7 months ago
@hectorisdaman154 not bad at all the only thing is tire life if reduced becuz your wheels are always locked up
