I love cars and SUV's. I was going to replace this car with a 2001 Range Rover 4.6HSE Vogue a few weeks back but cutbacks in work mean I need to get this one back up to scratch and abandon my upgrade plans.

Its a BMW E32 735i Built 1990, fully optioned.

Engine is the M30 fitted with Bosch fuel injection coupled to a ZF 4 speed auto.

Bascly all it needs after this is a new exhaust and O2 sensor, electronic tune up and new idle control valve.

  • How is she running now? I just bought a '90 735il black on black here in San Diego, Calif. with 138,000 miles for US $1200...untorn leather seats....a steal! Very solidly built car, even the manual has a section on towing a trailer, ha! I am enjoying learning about this amazing car. I will make good use of your tips, thank you.

  • @cc92103 Car is still going great!, very strong, tight compression, no problems at all even after the electronics box got flooded with water one stormy night. just dried it all out, reset ECU's to factory defaults and away she went!

  • I had similar car little while ago. I really loved it, but when i took that to a local dealer to do a valve adjustment, they noticed an engine damage. Camshaft, Valves and rocker arms! The cost of repairs would have been about 2000-3000€. If i would have done repairs, it would be like 800, but i didn`t have a place and equipment so i got my old car back from dealer who i bought that BMW. Too bad.

  • Damn :(. they are notorious for doing that.

what happens is the oil spray bar for the cam and rockers comes loose and stops spraying oil. eventually it destroys the cam, rockers, and valves.

    I check mine annually

  • Always loved the E32s and just love mine parked out in front :)

I never knew there was such a headlight feature that youve shown, quite a nice feature to have :)

    Great video!

  • Indeed they are a nice car!, I had to read the manual to find out what the headlight thing was about!, but I have used it a few times!

  • Where do you get your parts? Doncaster BMW has been really good with me on filters and stuff (I actually get filters cheaper than at the parts places), but I don't generally use them for most things.

Btw, I'm pretty sure your loud clicking is not your injectors, but your valve train. BMW used a square camshaft on the M10s, M20s and M30s which brings the valve almost instantly to full open and close. This is one of the main reasons these cars can eat valve train if you don't stay on top of it.

  • she sure is, a little expensive but nice.

next step in the resto is to get the engine idle sorted, maybe new O2 sensor first.

  • nice car.

  • I like the Explorers, even after all the quality issues and Firestone tire failures, shame ya lost it man. Over here they just deny re-registration if you don;t pay the tickets.

Drug dealers are something I absolutely despise! sounds like you did well with that lot!

I've done my share of damage in the war against drugs but i won't incriminate myself online ;) drug dealers are as protected as law abiding citizens over here, till the cops actually get to them ;)
