Thank you for posting this. I have been struggling with infertility for 3 years, and my doctor just mentioned that my Vitamin D levels were extremely low. This brought me to tears.

thank you so much it is very goog to know

Vitamin D deficiencies usually go hand in hand with a sedentary lifestyle. I understand that some places its very rare for it to be sunny. (ie Oregon)
Often times lifestyle changes need to be recommended as well.

Hey. My name is Kandace and I just found your Vlogs! Bless your heart for the adopting! As I was going through trying to watch these videos, I cried. It takes someone special and so strong to do this. Adoption will always be possible for us when and if the time comes. We have been TTC for over 2 years now with no successes. This video in particular hit me very hard. I have never heard of this as a cause of infertility! Thank you so much for sharing and tomorrow i will be calling my doctor! GL :)

Even though I am a man, I can understand where you are coming from. I serve in the military and took an physical fitness test. While I took the test, I got injured in both legs and in the hospital I was advised that I was vitamin D deficient. I am taking 20K IU's of vitamin D daily and I am feeling so much better!

@becker63 the real rule isn't "5000 IU per day". It's: 75 IU per kg bodyweight per day. For most adults that would be around 5000, but for example for a baby it starts at about 400 IU.
btw, acupuncture is a fraud. It's a fact that it's no better than a placebo. The people who practice it may know some things about nutrition per happenstance though.

I wanted to share my story. Last night I went to an infertility support group after trying for close to 2 years.. An acupuncturist came up to me and told me to start taking Vitamin D3 5,000 IU's a day. She told me to trust her! I then told her " huh, thats funny. My doctor told me a few months ago I was deficient in Vitamin D but didn't tell me to take anything for it." So, I was amazed that this lady KNEW exactly what the problem is! I am too amazed that a vitamin deficiency was the cause!
This is very interesting indeed. Have you been able to restore your Vitamin D levels to optimal levels with supplementation?
