  • My family and I are looking into the thought of my husband teaching English and all of us coming over. Are there ways for families to move to Korea for teaching? I think it would be an awesome experience for us and our 10 year old son. We home school so schooling isn't the question as much as is it possible for a family of 3 to move there? Thanks,

    Toni

  • @LadyToniGA i'm really not sure since i never had to ask for myself...but i think that is possible. you could ask a recruiter.

  • Hello :) I wanna know if you have to be a US citizen only to apply, I've lived in the US for a long time but I'm not a citizen. Thanks

  • @samlengua you don't have to be a US citizen specifically...but i'm pretty sure you have to be a citizen of some native english speaking country.

  • I enjoy your enthusiasm! Quick question, which program/recruiter did you go through in order to get a position teaching in Korea? I have visited all the links on Dave's ESL Cafe but just need some recommendations from American teachers currently in Korea.

  • That korean girl kid is so adorable!! Teacher!!teacher!!awww

  • This is a great video!

  • I have an interview with Aclipse tomorrow.

  • @LadyToniGA I wouldn't know becuz I have not been there, but the things i would look into, are; costs vs. income, so is that english teaching income enough to support 3 people opposed to 1, housing, you are normally provided with something like a dorm, you would have to rent a larger apartment, and therefore the cost would be more than the school would pay for, so you would have to make up the difference in rent. Look into it financially and then look into immigration requirements and such.

  • So do you speak any Korean? Or to be teaching there do you have to be able to know any Korean? Because it actually sounds very interesting, but i don't speak any Korean and if you teach english there im not sure if there are any Korean speaking level you should be at...

  • u r right.. y go somewhere n compling 2 others how u miss ur food, america etc..u make them look uncomfy

  • It's people like you that make me forget all of the negative thing's I've read about teaching/living in Korea as a foreigner. For this, I say thank you so much. If there weren't people like you, I'd probably second guess my decisions and never follow through.

  • oh my gosh, do they have no cheese there at all :O i love cheese.
