i don't understand the song quite well, but it has to do something with James parents. They always wanted to control him and not to be what he wanted. You know they died when James was about 16, because they denied medical help. He can't forgive them for that, and now he realizes that he wasted his life with this fight.
But the song has a much deeper meaning, its impossible to discribe it as goog as the song does!
My favourite song!

The little boy at the end was coming to the cell of the old man and the old man could've given him a boost out that window that he made. Instead he closed the entrance to the little boy.
He could've helped the little boy. Instead he sealed him in.

James is a kind of funny lirycist, some his songs are fucking bad, the lyrics are basically fillers, but when he decides to he writes fucking awesome song with deep meaning:
The Unforgivem 1,2,3
Nothing Else Matters
Fade To Black,
Master Of puppets,
Sanitarium,
One...
