Night Stripers On Live Eeels Orient Point, NY

This is a night striped bass trip from our 2003 TV season we did out of Orient Point on the tip of Long Island's North Fork. Orient Point is the home of 50 pounders on a regular basis both in fall when we filmed this show, but more so in the spring during late May and June! On this episode we had a terrific trip in less them primo conditions as we had strong winds and a wind against tide situation. We show the exact tackle and Rigs we used along with our full screen detail. Using stout tackle with the secret being longer than normal leaders to the eels. No we were using three way rigs wih an 8 foot leader and the sinkers were 15 to 20 ounces.

Good fish, good video. One of the most diverse species of fish in the world. Has to be. We catch them landlocked from the surfact down to 100 feet, up in creeks, shallow jet-boat only rivers. Super wide variety of baits and lures as well. My favorite fish.
