On May 10th, 2008, a rap concert was held in Civic Center Plaza in downtown SF to oppose Israel's existence, calling it "60 years of occupation" and to celebrate Arab terrorism, or "resistance" as is often the euphemism.

San Francisco Voice for Israel came to protest the event and held signs in favor of two states for two people and a banner that read "Coexistence, not Resistance." Headliner band DAM from Lod in Israel consider themselves to be "living under occupation" despite being citizens of the state and not living in the areas most people consider "The Occupation" (West Bank, E. Jerusalem, Gaza, Golan Heights) and spoke out against the idea of coexistence from the stage. They demanded the "right of return" so that all the "refugees" (descendants of those who left for whatever reason between 1946 and 1948), even those who are prosperous citizens of the USA, could overwhelm Israel and destroy the Jewish State.

DAM openly endorses terrorism, such as in their song "Who's the Terrorist" and endorsed suicide bombings on Israeli television. The rap band Dead Prez was supposed to be the headliner, but pulled out shortly before the event. The rumor is they pulled out when they became aware of the anti-peace, anti-coexistence agenda of the event.

  • We held a sign saying "Coexistence, not Reistance" and signs saying "Two States for Two Peoples." He was responding directly to that.

Clearly we, the Israelis, and the Americans agree the Palestinians exist. It is both Israeli and American policy that the Palestinians will have a state in the West Bank and Gaza. So what was he referring to?

  • dude fucking Subliminal (Israeli hip hop singer) made this man. He started his rap career off and now he is going and dissing Israel and calling the State terroists after they fucking made him who he is today..

  • Which is why I was wearing my Subliminal T-shirt at this event :-)

Check out the movie "Channels of Rage" about the relationship between the two Israeli rappers. In it, you can see the Channel 10 interview with TN where he endorses suicide bombings.

  • Wow bluetruth36, brainwashed just a little bit?

"DAM openly endorses terrorism"? Less lies please. Your mis-informed, biased opinion about DAM is trying to mis-lead your fellow men, and that is an heretic act of treason, you ought to be ashamed of this propaganda.

This is my opinion: DAM openly endorses liberation for Palestinians and human rights for all disposed people.

If you can't understand what I am communicating, than you need to take a step back and figure it out. <- Goes to everyone.

  • Wow, CoryLatimer, brainwashed just a little bit?

DAM's most popular song is "Who's the Terrorist" which endorses and justifies Palestinian terror. Tamar Nafar endorsed suicide bombers on Israeli TV when he was allegedly promoting his duet with Aviv Geffen "Innocent Criminals." Most Jewish Israeli artists will have nothing to do with TN or DAM now due to their extremism.

If you consider terrorism to be liberation, you are a very sick individual.

  • no justice no peace. Free Palestine

  • Please Bluetruth, Israel is not a victim anymore. Israel is the aggressor. Only the most blind and ignorant people can not see this truth. You talking coexistance is assuming that Palestinains have a choice...WE DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE. WE HAVE ORDERS AND LAWS SET BY OUTSIDE OUR COMMUNITY BY THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE OUR INTERESTS OR SURVIVAL AT HEART. We were told "VOTE!" so we could be democratic, and we did vote, and with international observers who claimed they were by and large free/fair elections

  • bluetruth, I heard NOTHING of what you claim in your description of this video. It sounds like you are looking for a fight, and you're looking to endorse the idea of a one-state solution - a Jewish state, not a mixed one. You don't seem to have any sympathy for people being subjugated just as we Jews were once subjugated.

  • No Peace, No state.

    Its that simple.

  • dane why would they stand silent to injustice to kiss some rapper's axx

  • Coexistance my ass. Bluetruth36, I will assume you are too naive to realize this, but have you seen a map of the West Bank, MINUS the Israeli controlled un-negotiable (meaning they will ALWAYS BE under Israeli military control unconditionally) roads, settlement areas, and checkpoints. You have about a lil less than 20% of the West Bank...it went from 20% of historic Palestine to 20% of the West Bank. And if you think Israeli will stop there, you are pathetic and naive.

  • There were so few endorsers, so few participants that its no wonder the budget was cut.

Its not surprising that most reputable businesses wouldn't want to be associated with something like this- I saw photos of kids carrying Palestinian flags with fists dripping blood on them- thats not a message of peaceful coexeistence-thats a message of violence and hate
