North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland, 30 Mar 2010 - Spring tides coupled with unprecedented high winds and surging waves breach the outer harbour wall to tear dinghies, motor boats and their trailers from secure points in the tarmac dinghy park - piling many against the inner harbour wall (formerly the wall of the lido - open air swimming pool). Others are washed in 1.5metre swells from the park into the harbour or smashed against harbour railings.

Nasty. I'd have been pretty upset if my dinghy had been in there.

The company I work for (seafari) had its boat moored in the harbour, u an just make it out. No damage thankfully. Being a commercial rib it just bounced off everything haha. The aftermath is a bit strange though. The dingy park is covered in 2" of sand, and there are huge boulders everywhere. not to mention the asphalt has been ripped up. fun fun!
