This speech is based on the following essays by Stuart K. Hayashi:

* "A Distinction Between Freedom and Due Process"

This video is not a full endorsement of the ideology of market anarchy, also known as anarcho-capitalism. For a six-part video explaining Stuart Hayashi's position on anarcho-capitalism, one may see Qtronman's six-part series, "Anarchism and Due Process."

The book mentioned in this video is *The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible: A Free Market Odyssey*:

The chapter of *Jonathan Gullible* mentioning the final resort of law enforcement:

Some key points:

* Laws are ultimately enforced at gunpoint.

* Due Process of Law does not change that fact.

* For the government to exercise the force of law to imprison someone -- on account of some peaceful action he did with his own private property and with consenting adults -- amounts to government-imposed kidnapping of an innocent person.

* The income tax is a preemptive ransom that you pay to the government so that it won't abduct you.

* Whenever we think, "There ought to be a law about this!," we should first ask ourselves, "Is this something worth threatening violence over?"

Some audio satires by Ken Schoolland about this phenomenon:

  • Are you a member of FEMA? Profiting from murde slavery and extortion is not a free market as you can see that is breaking fundamental laws which is you cannot harm/kill/etc anyone. Exploitation of workers? What does that mean? A worker picks a job and can leave at ANY time, there is no exploitation, only exploitation of a government because you don't have a choice. Private military is not privatisation, that is government run because it all depends on government.

  • That's a loaded question. Just because freedom isn't perfect, doesn't mean we should wreck freedom.

  • "Every threat is a threat of death" Stephan Molyneux

  • What is all this about freedom!? Do you think people should be able to profit from slavery, murder, or extortion?!? (!?!)

  • I agree. Income tax is a fee we pay avoid imprisonment. So sad :(

But he's a terrible actor, "There should be a law against this..." always sounds bad

  • the question should be to "there should be a law" is "am I willing to pull a gun out and enforce that law?"

  • excellent, the government's job is to protect our rights. and that's it.
