This here is the beat!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All wrong! It was the Roland TR-808 drum machine used. (Not a Linn Drum!) This song was released in 1986, before Eazy E's. Whodini was huge in Southern California (mainly around this time), as was this song ("I'm A Ho") in the streets & the clubs. The cult status of the song (when songs stayed popular for more than 2 weeks!) resulted in Dr. Dre making the similar sounding "Boyz In The Hood" (with added wack guitar sounds) for Eazy E. (released in 1988) smack dab in the middle of the 'dope' era.

@RobertC19850209 This loop was sampled alot later, but during this era, most producers were using the same tech, so alot of similar drum sounds can be heard on alot of differnt records... this just sounds like a Linn drum machine with a few filter on it here and there... the most popular one in use at the time
