Jack donated over 700 ancient musical instruments to Southern Oregon University. In March of 2010 Penny Cloud visited and worked on 3 of his 8 hurdy gurdies including a 1730's Louvet.

  • It's not very likely that the second hurdy gurdy shown in the video is build by a certain André Louvenel. Try to find a luthier with this name! The model seems to be from Henry Thouvenel (1851-1929), luthier at Mirecourt (Lorraine, France). He was a son from a larger family of luthiers (violin makers), starting end of the 18e untill the beginning of the 20th centrury. However Henry (pupil of luthier Nicolas Colson) was more known for his guitars en hurdy gurdies.
