Even if there were noticeable benefits to artificially supplementing fluoride, putting it into tap water is stupid because there's no way to regulate the individual doses. There's no guarantee that every 8 ounce cup would contain the same amount of fluoride. A cup of fluoridated water could contain a diluted or accumulated excessive amount of fluoride.
