Phoenix Rising - Lush bath bomb

My favorite new Lush item. Love this bomb.

Phoenix Rising is available in the UK now (as I write this Nov 15, 2011) and will be available in NA soon.

I'm a sucker for anything purple so I was very excited about this bomb and it did not disappoint me. Beautiful purple with golden lustre. A cinnamon stick in the top. Love the shape. Lush says that the bomb will sink to the bottom of the tub but I have used this bomb twice now and they simply spun at the surface of the water. As I said, this doesn't matter to me. Doesn't affect how much I like the bomb. It can sink or spin. I really don't care. :P

Gorgeous bright pink water with lovely golden lustre floating at the surface. I didn't find the the lustre stuck much to my skin and that is fine with me as I'm not a big glitter fan. Makes for a twinkling bath, though! Really pretty.

The scent is a bit reminiscent of Glogg. Boozy and spicy. I find this more exotic. Earthy. A little complicated and heavy but oh so nice. LOVE IT. Lingers on my skin for a long time and leaves my bathroom and all up the hallway smelling lovely until I shower/bathe again.

I've read that some people have had issues with staining. I have not had this problem. It is important to keep your tub clean of any soap residue when using a highly pigmented bomb. The color will cling to any "scum" on the surface of the tub. It didn't stain my nails or skin either. My tub is large and deep though.

@siobhanlawHX yes, i am clearly aware of that. however, this one did not. no special effects or conspiracy here to keep it floating.....it just didn't sink. certainly no big deal to me. i love the bomb anyway. sometimes they sink and sometimes they don't.

Mines didn't sink - I also took a video to prove it! But some sink and some don't. They are exciting though

The original UK demo of this, the cinnamon stick wasnt laying on its side. It stuck out vertically and it also sunk to the bottom. I noticed that theyve changed the look so thats probably why it didnt sink?
