Is Binns the tall guy among The Charts? Humble opening by him about Joe Grier ... I got to see 'em at the Apollo during the 1950's, and at an Apollo Theater oldies show during the mid-1960's! The tall guy was always a part of The Charts.

Gus Gossert used to say about a song like this, " if I were going to live the rest of my life on a desert island and I could only bring ten records with me, this would be one of the ten".

Just awesome ! I love & grew up with this music. I think my generation might be the last to appreciate this music. I just turn 30 .

I am very biased, but I think this music will live on. There are younger doo-wop groups still going strong, such as Roomates, Crystalairs, Chaperals, and Fabulous Flops. Three are also new even younger groups such as Earth Angels, Velvet Candles, and the I Love You Sos. All of these groups have videos on YouTube, and are working on CDs.

I agree, a real masterpiece! Knowing how they sound in this, I get teary eyed hearing the introduction how Joe Grier had not been onstage with the group in 45 years. The way they sounded that night, they should have gone back into the studio and done a new CD! Wish they had.
