This is NOWHERE near what I would consider good. Sticks heights are in consistent, strokes are wobbly, crescendos aren't powerful, accents are missing, sticking is incorrect, and general technique is all over the place. However, for only practicing for a bit, I'm satisfied with where I am and I am willing to put more time and effort into hitting this properly.
I love the benefits of recording myself play or playing in a mirror. It gives me the chance to see what I'm doing wrong and fix it, whether it be a problem with sound quality or technique. Any musicians should definitely play in a mirror or film themselves more often to see what they're doing wrong. I know I have a LOT of things to fix up...
The Sixteen Bar Groove was written by Kevin Troyanos. I feel bad about playing this because I'm playing 30BPM off of the intended tempo, and I don't even play it correctly. I am so ashamed of myself. :P
that was tasty

@ivanha1 Funny. The sheet music has the word "Tasty" written all over it.

Is this for a school marching band? If so, do they make you play traditional grip?

@GHProProductions As a Freshman, no, but since there are two Freshman snares, I took the liberty of upping the standard to having traditional grip for the Freshman. The Sixteen Bar Groove is separate from the band stuff. I learned this on my own time.
