@valarmanwe. Id be up for no income tax & tax only on goods/ services. I just get a little bit sick of the World wanting to hammer high earners for doing well. Would you want your son/daughter taxed at a rate of 50% because he/she has done well & earning 100k, i wouldnt. I guess taxing goods services instead of income would be a flat tax for all, bring it on! PS Im not one of these high earners, i fall into the pay for every mortal thing catagory with £ ive earned.

@09SRILANKA So someone earning £5K a year should pay £1K in tax, leaving £4K to live on ? And someone earning £100K a year would have £80K left to live on.

Someone recently suggested to me that there should be no income tax. Only tax on goods/ services etc. Which I found interesting - because then one is taxed only when one spends and on what one spends ones money on. Still, that itself no doubt has it`s problems. But it might encourage saving.....( which would pose a problem for Govt ! )...

they want it compicated so we dont realy know what the tax is for , what about the privatetly owned secretly run bank of Englad who is weekiening the £ ! our money! thats what the tax is for... everybody must open there eyes !!

Fairness would be one tax for all of 20%, high earners should not be taxed any more than this. Oh and let's treat some state handouts as income too and tax these!
