中秋節 Mid-Autumn Festival 2008 Special: "月光愛人" Coco Lee on Concert Flute

In order to celebrate the Moon Festival, I decided to play 月光愛人 Yue Guang Ai Ren [Moonlight Lover] by Coco Lee.

This song was used for the movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

An English version of this song also sung by Coco Lee is called "A Love Before Time."

I've played this song many times for some of my flute recitals. In my opinion, I didn't think this was my best performance I did for this video. Oh well...at least I thought it was better than my attempt to play 白月光.

I got the music sheet from a book called "New Film Themes: Playalong for Flute." This book also came with a CD accompaniment.

I found a link where you can print the sheet music of the song for free. It's a little different from the version I played, but I hope it works out for everyone:

Oh yeah, I found that this link probably only allows you to print one page of this sheet for free. In order to obtain the second page, you have to pay for it.

Solution:

Instead of going ahead and blowing your money just to get the second page, IMPROVISE on the song. If you don't know how to improvise, listen to the original song a couple of times and figure out the melody/tunes to the other parts. Some parts might be repeats to the other parts already written on the music.
