After ten years of frustration, this 13" rubber powered Ohka Baka by Tom Hallman finally soars through a series of four trim flights in Geneseo, NY. She has since returned to her old, familiar ways.

  • Hi....according to the 3-view I found, I matched the design. The Baka seemed to have a number of designs with varying wing area. I started out with a 6" prop, eventually chopping away to about 4.5.

  • Hi Tom, did you increase the wingspan of this model? What sized Prop did you use?

  • great! almost lost in thermal! really amazing..and Banzai works!!

We also made it with a model the guys in our club dubbed

"dead chiken" ( imagine flight conditions for it) and it almost gets lost in thermal after banzai shouts ! we had to run 2 miles to recover the damn thing!
