I must admit however, I am currently unaware as to whether Saudi still actually has voting for women. I would assume they do, but cannot say for sure. I do intend to bridge this gap in my knowledge very shortly.

I can't speak for the author, but in the context in which the word allow was placed, I have to agree that it is not the right word as it sends a bad message. Perhaps it was a comprehension issue on the part of the poster, I don't know. But my comment was simply that in Arabia, women were kept away from voting due to perceived limitations in their intelligence, worth and other characteristics. When Islam was brought to them however, this was changed, and the restriction dissolved.

Bumblybee256, the reason the uploader of this vid said allow is based on how women prior to islam were not allowed to vote due to perceived inabilities. Islam, when it was revealed, brought women up to a level pegging with men, as they should have been. I agree with you about the sentiments about what happens today however, Pakistan and Saudi are very bad examples of what Muslim societies should be. The fact that schools for girls in Pakistan were being destroyed recently is horrifying to me.
