SURAH AD DHUHA

SURAH DHOHA (The Morning Hours)

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

1. Waaldduha

2. Waallayli itha saja

3. Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala

4. Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka mina al-oola

5. Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda

6. Alam yajidka yateeman faawa

7. Wawajadaka dallan fahada

8. Wawajadaka AAa-ilan faaghna

9. Faamma alyateema fala taqhar

10. Waamma alssa-ila fala tanhar

11. Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
# By the growing brightness of the morning.

# And by the night when it covers.

# Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor He was disgust.

# And undoubtedly, the following one is better for you than the preceding one.

# And undoubtedly, soon your Lord shall give you so much that you shall be satisfied.

# Did He not find you an orphan, then give you shelter?

# And He found you drown in His Love, therefore gave way unto Him.

# And He found you needy so He enriched you.

# So, put not pressure over orphan.

# And chide not the beggar.

# And publicize well the favours of your Lord.

however I don't agree with the translation: # And He found you drown in His Love, therefore gave way unto Him.

wa wajadaka daalan fa hada means 7. And He found you unaware (of the Qur'an, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you?

not "drowned in his love"
