On this website are the details of all primary, secondary schools and sixth form colleges except fee paying schools in Lewisham. You can find out which is your local school by putting your postcode into our Find Your Nearest form which will show the schools nearest to you on a map.

We also have lots of information on how to apply for a school for your child. There are deadlines for applying for primary schools and secondary schools which you can find on this website. There is an online admission form or you can contact the Schools Admissions Team for further help.

There are three schools in Lewisham with specialist support for deaf pupils. Sedgehill Secondary School, Rushey Green Primary School and Coopers Lane Primary School all have Hearing Impaired Units where deaf pupils can access learning alongside their hearing peers.

These resources meet the needs of deaf children who are able to follow the curriculum of the mainstream school with specialist support from qualified Teachers of the Deaf, Communication Support Workers and trained Teaching Assistants.

Each child's individual needs are assessed and integration and support given accordingly. Some children need to access the curriculum through sign and Lewisham is committed to providing sign support throughout their education. Please speak to your Teacher of the Deaf about whether a Hearing Impaired Unit could meet the needs of your child.
