So is that antenna for outdoor or indoor ?

I was discussing it in a forum and it came out that putting it outside could be a risk because it was designed as a indoor antenna.

What's your opinion about ?

@perseus68 ok I have good results in 90 kms OUTSIDE vhf the antenna satisfies me because it takes up too much room on the balcony.

yes I have a simple telescopic antenna without self Agreement

it works well I prefer my SKY SCAN MAG-1300 or a simple wire 2 to 5 meters for the HF ok

My Alinco DJ-X11E Europe in March 2011 in United States Alinco DJ-X11T can be a difference in the Firmware 73S Gérard

hello, yes I am completely satisfied with the antenna scan sky Desktop 1300 exelente in SHF UHF VHF signal and tripled from the original Antenna al I installed outdoors is even better now as the video they receive in all directions. In the shortwave signal and lower but still well it works. Good antenna from 25 to 1300 MHz. 73's gerard

Hi Gerard.

My Dj-X11 is relatively recent since I bought it 3 weeks ago here in Spain. It's the E version.

May be you are right about the firmware; it came with 1.23 release!

I'm building my ERW-7 equivalent cable to update it to firmware 2.10.

I hope that will cure the problem.

Nice video. I also have a Dj-X11 but with a Diamond RH789 Telescopic antenna my radio seems almost deaf at HF. Much worse than what you get in this video. So is the Skycan antenna so good ? Have you tried with a long telescopic antenna before you got the skyscan.

Just for me to understand what's going on with mine.

I had some bad experience with Sky Scan stuff, i bought a SKY-SCAN MAG 1300 a couple months ago and it even performed worse then the standard antenna that got shipped with my scanner. So i would go for a Diamond D130 instead, around the same price just a better brand.
